Obituary

Eva Foster Hobson age 92, of Martinsville died Sunday June 17, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Martinsville. She was born June 24, 1919 in Franklin County to the late Jim Robert and Vergie Holley Foster. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by four brothers, O'Dell Foster, Charlie Foster, Eugene Prater, and Junice Prater, and one sister, Annie Whitlow.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Bassett, and retired from DuPont with 31 years service.
She is survived by three daughters, Gatha Eames of Baileyton, TN, Barbara Laveri of Fieldale, and Norine Perdue of Martinsville, two sisters, Betty Sue Holley of Stuart, and Thelma Chaney of Patrick Springs, seven grandchildren, 16, great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild.
The funeral service will be Friday June 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Gordon Hodnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday June 21, 2012 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 5 Pinnacle Dr., Martinsville.
