Essie Foley Janey, 100, of Collinsville, passes away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 01, 2020. Essie was born on April 8 ^th to the late Abram McClain and Nancy Ella Cannaday Foley. In addition to her parents, she is now reunited with her beloved husband; James Frank Janey, son; Randall Janey, and daughter; Patricia J. Beam. Essie was a former employee of Sale Knitting Company of 22 years. She was very active in Sunday school and was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law; Frank (Jane) Janey, John (Wanda) Janey, and Ricky Janey, two daughters and sons-in-law; daughter; Nancy (Don) Cloester, daughter in law; Nancy Janey, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Cheek officiating, interment will be private. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to services.  In lieu of flowers, memorable can be made to the Benevolence Fund at First Baptist Church of Collinsville (3339 Virginia Ave., Collinsville, VA - 24112).
