Emma Underwood Fallin age 89, formerly of Martinsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Friday May 12, 2017 at Stanleytown Health and Rehab. She was born March 30, 1928 in Floyd County, VA to the late Alton Parker and Myrtle L. Brogan Underwood. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Pearson Fallin, her brother, Calvin C. Underwood, and her sister, Velma "Peggy" Conner.

Mrs. Fallin was an active member of Chatham Heights UMC, where she served as treasurer, membership chairman, trustee, and was a member of the Gladys Setliff Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Auburn High School, and attended West Virginia Business School for two years. She was a bookkeeper and insurance claim administrator for Dr. Sherman, Dr. Price, and Dr. Irby.

She is survived by her son, Edward Alton Fallin of Doswell, VA, her daughter, Frances Rigney of Ridgeway, six grandchildren, Hayden Rigney and wife Chelsea, Paige Rigney, Parker Fallin, Hanna Fallin, Nicole Fallin, and Kiefer Fallin, and one great grandchild, Saylor Rigney.

Her funeral service will be Monday May 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Marshall Banks officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday May 14, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home of the daughter in Ridgeway. The family would like to convey special thanks to the Staff of Stanleytown Health and Rehab for the loving care they extended to Mrs. Emma Fallin during the past seven years.
