Obituary

Edward A. "Junior" Marshall, Jr. age 87, formerly of Spencer, died Tuesday Oct. 11, 2011 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. He was born January 8, 1924 in Henry County to the late Edward A. and Fannie Gay Parlier Marshall.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corp in Southeast Asia. He was awarded the American Theater Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a self-employed carpenter and contractor.
He is survived by his wife Mozelle Cauley Marshall of Martinsville, one sister, Edna Marshall Lawless of Ridgeway, one niece, Faye Lawless Witt and her husband Ronald D. Witt of Bassett, one nephew Thomas Lawless and his wife Diana Lawless of Ridgeway, one Brother In Law Frank O. Cauley and his wife Cathy Cauley of Fieldale, and other extended family.
The funeral service will be Saturday Oct. 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. J.D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park with Military Honors by the Martinsville and Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel at Roselawn.
