Edna Fulcher Ashby, age 85, of Martinsville, died on August 11, 2014 at the Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville. She was born September 11, 1928 in Henry County to the late William Roy, Sr. and Myrtle Bertha Whitlow Fulcher. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. Ashby in 1992 and her daughter, Terry Adeline Ashby Wilson in 2003, her brother, William Roy Fulcher, and two sisters, Myrtle Fulcher Mason and Eddie Marie Fulcher.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and had retired with over 30 years of service with Lacy and Pannill Knitting Companies.

She is survived by her three sons, Ricky Ashby of Bradenton, FL, Steven Ashby of Millbury, MA and Ronald Ashby of Wilmington, NC, ten grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Evans officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
