Earl Davis, age 67, of Albany, GA, died on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Portsmouth, VA and had resided in Albany, GA since 1982. He was preceeded in death by his parents, William Ralph Davis, Jr. and Sybil Summerfield Davis, and a step-son, Keenan Jones.
He was a retired accountant with the Marine Corps Logistics Base and the District Health Department with the State of Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Stultz Davis of Albany, GA, a daughter, Melissa Marquardt of San Diego, CA, two step-sons, Robert Lee Diamond of Warner Robins, GA, and Kevin Jones of Lynchburg, VA, two sisters, Patricia Davis of Leesburg, GA and Sherry Davis of Albany,GA, two brothers, Robert Michael Davis of Albany, GA and William Ralph Davis, III of Canton, GA and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Rouse officiating the service. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, October 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Burial Park and Pastor Dobie Salmons will officiate.
