Dorothy Frances Moore, age 77, went home to be with the Lord after a special life of care and giving. She was born in Wake Forrest, NC on June 20, 1936. She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Thelma Weathers Lovell, her daughters, Donna Jean Moore and Jennifer Lee Eanes, a brother, Fred Moore, Jr. and a sister, Shirley M. Harmon.

She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and had worked at National Exterminators as an Administrative Assistant for many years. Dorothy was graduate of Martinsville High School Class of 1955, and was also very proud of her service in the United States Marine Corps.

She is survived by three sisters, Lillie Sapp of Martinsville, Jo Anne and husband Moir Hairfield of Critz, Marian and husband Mel Harter of Palm Desert, CA., a brother, Joseph and wife Karen Lovell of Harrisburg, NC, four very special nieces, three very special nephews, and four very special great nieces. She was a devoted sister, aunt and great aunt who was always there for her family.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Terry officiating the service and interment following in Roselawn Burial Park with military honors by the Martinsville and Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel on Saturday.
