Dorothy Wilson Barrow Matherly age 74 of Martinsville went to be with the Lord on Monday Sept. 14, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 18, 1940 in Martinsville to the late Ramsey W. and Mary Grogan Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husbands, Jerry H. Barrow, and James I. Matherly, one brother, William H. Jones, and one sister, Betty W. Barrow.

Dorothy was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, and graduated from Martinsville High School, Class of 1958. She worked at Price's Minute Market for 17 years and Taylor's Supermarket for 10 years.

She is survived by her son, Charles H. "Bubba" Barrow of Little Rock AR, a daughter Nancy B. McMillan of Martinsville, and a daughter and son in law, Jerrie B. and Dwight Wright of Martinsville, and one sister and brother in law, Mary Ellen and Jimmy Spencer of Martinsville, daughter in law, Julie Hall Barrow, seven grandchildren, Peyton and Parker Barrow, Jessica, Tiffany, and Victoria Wright, Linda Wallace, and Tate Wallace, and one great grandson, Austin Wallace.

Her graveside service will be Thursday Sept. 17, 2015 at 11:00 am in Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Rick Randall officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Dorothy's sister, Mary Ellen Spencer at 630 Lakewood Trail, Martinsville.
