Dorothy O'Dell Woods age 87, formerly of Ferrum, died Friday Dec. 7, 2012 at her home in Martinsville. She was born September 20, 1925 in Henry County to the late Ernest E. and Texas Martin O'Dell. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Herman Andrew Woods, three brothers, Cecil, Harry and Lemley O'Dell, and four sisters, Mamie Coleman, Gladys Cardwell, Velda Hall, and Goldie Hodge.

She was a member of One Accord Baptist Church, and had retired from Erath Veneer Corp. formerly in Rocky Mount.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry A. Woods of Callaway, and Rev. Phillip Woods of Martinsville, one brother Alvin O'Dell of Ridgeway, one sister, Lucille Grogan Lawless of Martinsville, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

The funeral service will be Monday Dec. 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM in One Accord Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park in Franklin County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday Dec. 9, 2012 at One Accord Baptist Church.
