Dorothy Ingram "Dot" Brooks age 83, went Home to be with her Lord on Fri. Nov. 13, 2015 at Roanoke Mem. Hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1932 in Henry County to the late William and Minnie Dale Hopkins Ingram. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, John Brooks, grandson Rocky Tate, three brothers, Obie Hairfield, James Moore, and Bill Ingram, and three sisters, Virginia Smart, Lilly Mae Foster, and Lorene Covington.
Dot attended Ridgeway Church of God, and was a CNA who sat with the elderly for over 45 years.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Hite and Patricia Tate of Ridgeway, and Brenda Ingram of Collinsville, one brother, Harvey Hairfield of Richmond, four grandchildren, LeeAnne Crowder, Tonia Dalton, Justin Hite, and Sharon Faye Brooks, and eight great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be Monday Nov. 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive for one hour prior to the service on Monday in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 1542 Kings Mill Road, Ridgeway.
