Debra Joyce Campbell, age 55, of 1201 Spruce Street, Martinsville, died on Thursday, March 03, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Martinsville on August 05, 1955 to Murvin L. Joyce and the late Gladys Peters Batchelor. In addition to her Mother, she was predeceased by her Paternal Grandparents, Oscar R. and Dorothy W. Joyce, and her Maternal Grandparents, Harold D. and Roxie H. Peters.
She was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and had worked at Fieldcrest until becoming disabled.
In addition to her Father of Brosville, she is survived by her son, Donald Merriman, Jr. of Eden, NC, one brother, Jeffrey R. Joyce, Sr. of Brosville, three sisters, Teresa J. Carroll and Lynne J. Smart both of Fieldale and Ruth "R.J" Janey of Stuart, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, March 05, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Alton Bartee officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn and at other times at the home on Spruce Street.
