Daniel Jayhue O'Dell, age 73, of Martinsville, passed away at his residence on October 01, 2017. He was born in Patrick Springs to the late William and Vergie Gilley O'Dell on September 5, 1944. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur O'Dell, sisters, Virginia Woods, Mamie O'Dell and Jeanette Reynolds.

He attended Faith Fellowship Church and had worked at Hooker Furniture and American Furniture Companies.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Neaves O'Dell of the home, his son, Daniel Lee O'Dell of Martinsville, his daughter, Ashley Dawn O'Dell of Roanoke, a brother David O'Dell of Bassett, two grandchildren, Austin O'Dell and Caleb O'Dell and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Roselawn with Pastor Freddie Bonds officiating the service.
