Curtis Grant Pruitt, 77, of Axton, left this earth to his Heavenly home on Thursday March 18, 2021, at UNC Rockingham Hospital in Eden, NC; surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on August 1, 1943, to the late Garnett and Oretha Harris Pruitt. He was retired from the City of Martinsville where he worked in the Water Department.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Tilley Marie Wingo, Mother-in-law; Lucille McBride Burton, and several brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of fifty-seven years; Brenda McBride Pruitt, two sons and daughter-in-law; Harold Allen Pruitt and Curtis Dean and Sharon Pruitt, two daughters and sons-in-law; Paula P. and Kevin Hankins, and Shelly P. and Forrest Wilbourne, one sister; Elizabeth "Libby" Martin, seven grandchildren; Brandon Hankins, Brittney Hankins, Blake Hankins, Josh Pruitt, Cody Pruitt, Chelsey Hall, and Zachary Hall, and twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021, at the Stegall-Harris-Pruitt Family Cemetery on Irisburg Road in Axton, with Pastor Rob Haley officiating.  Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
