Curtis Edward Craig age 70, formerly of 718 Oneida Street, Martinsville, died Monday October 11, 2010 at Walnut Cove Health and Rehab in Walnut Cove, NC. He was born December 12, 1939 in Patrick County to the late Benjamin and Pearl I. Craig. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his first wife Wanda Lois Shively Craig, two brothers, Henry and Ernest Craig, and three sisters, Era Mitchell, Edna Martin, and Mattie Craig.
He was retired from Bassett Table Plant, and also did mechanic work for several garages and Bassett Motor Pool. He attended Wayside Baptist church in Walnut Cove.
He is survived by his wife, Lilly Craig of the home in Walnut Cove, two sons, Randy and Phillip Craig of Martinsville, one daughter, Rhonda Lopez of Martinsville, one brother, George Craig of Preston, two sisters, Vera and Myrtle Slate of Walnut Cove, NC, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be Thursday October 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Roselawn Burial Park with interment to follow. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service in the Chapel at Roselawn.
