Cornile McCan Johnson age 80 of Collinsville, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday Oct. 14, 2018 at her home. She was born August 19, 1938 in Fieldale to the late Albert Homer and Lillie Jane Rutherford Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother Vernon M. Johnson, and adopted sister, Mitzi Brown.

She attended Peoples Church of the Living God, and retired with 51 years of service at Feieldcrest Mills in Fieldale.

Cornile is survived by three sisters, Mabel J. Hughes of Collinsville, Fannie Belle Sifers and Mildred Nichols, both of Salem, VA, and adopted brother H.G. Vaughn of Ridgeway.

Her funeral service will be Tuesday Oct.16, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Bishop Dwayne Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday Oct. 15, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Cornile Johnson be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 730 East Church St., Suite 13, Martinsville, VA 24112.
