Constance "Connie" Saul Thacker, 70, of Martinsville went home to be with her Lord, Monday, February 9, 2026. She was born in Texas on March 8, 1955, to the late Hender and Juanita Spicer Saul. Connie retired from BB&T Bank as a teller. She enjoyed playing country and bluegrass music in which there was no stringed instrument Connie couldn't play. Connie's father Hender, wrote several songs, and like her father, Connie wrote and recorded several songs one which was titled "The Legend of Lover's Leap" which she was accompanied by her cousin, the late Coy Young.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Lynwood Thacker.

Connie is survived by one sister, Brenda Royal Craig (Bobby), one nephew: Wesley Craig (Tracey), and two nieces, Cindy Hall (Mike), and Sherri Helbert (Tim)

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services beginning at 12:00 Noon.  Burial will be private.
