Clarence Lee Hylton, age 87, of 1117 Brentwood Drive, Collinsville, died on May 14, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. He was born on April 14, 1925 in Patrick County to the late Jasper Roy and Sara Lou Hopkins Hylton. He was also preceeded in death by two brothers, Cecil Hylton and Herbert Hylton, and one sister, Etholine Poole.
He was a member of the Collinsville Church of the Brethern and was retired with more than 30 years service with Courtalds as a maintenance supervisor. He was in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ora Pilson Hylton of the home, his daughter, Terri Lee Richardson of Fieldale, two brothers, William Hylton of Fieldale and james Hylton of Stuart, two sisters, Audrey Roberts and Ola Huffman both of Fieldale and two grandsons.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Roy McVey officiating the service and interment with military honors following at Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in the chapel of Roselawn from 6-8:00 p.m..
