Clarence Edward "Buck" Scott age 96, of Collinsville, passed away Wednesday May 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 21, 1922 in Franklin County (Rocky Mount) to the late Walter M. and Minnie Lou Thomas Scott. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife Marjorie Dudley Scott, brothers, Elmo, June, Ardie, Lacy, Carl, Gos, Lassie and Thel Scott and sister, Olivia Bryant.

He attended Stone Memorial Christian Church and was a self employed home builder for over 50 years and was successful in building over 700 homes.  He was a WWII veteran with US Army.

He is survived by his sons, Charlie and wife Fran Scott and Michael Scott both of Collinsville, a sister Ola Bowling,  two grandchildren, Sarah Scott and Rachel Scott, three step-grandchildren, Marlene (Jim) Woods, Dana (Sam) Williams and Richard "Richie" (Sheila) Eames, fourteen step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great grandchildren.  The family would like to express their appreciation to the Mountain Valley Hospice for their kind care of their loved one.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastors Tim Woods and Lawrence Harris officiating the service.  Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park Mausoleum with military honors presented by the Martinsville Henry County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn.
