Christine Lawson Gilley 82 of Martinsville, VA., went home to be with the Lord, Friday evening January 24, 2020, in Franklin County, Va.  Christine was born February 28, 1937 to the Late Earnest Jake Lawson and Carrie Dillon Lawson. Christine was retired as front desk manager from 20 years of joyful service at the Dutch Inn.  Christine was very involved in blessing her family and friends with candy making, doll making and wonderful home cooked meals.  She was a very loving and giving woman of faith and will be sadly missed by her family. She leaves behind her best friend and companion James (Bud) Marshall, her son Jesse (Randy) Gilley and wife Brenda. Her dear grandchildren: Michelle V. Lincoln, Gabrielle, Hannah, Elisha and Jacob Gilley and great granddaughter Julianna Lincoln.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the Late Jesse Ben Gilley, daughter Jeannie K. Gilley, son P. Wayne Gilley and her siblings;Francis L. Hall, Carolyn L. Hooker, James E. Lawson, Samuel Lawson, Roosevelt Lawson, Clara L. Turner, Ernest Lawson, Virginia L. Blankenship, E.J. Lawson and several nieces, nephews .

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday January 28, 2020, in the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Morefield officiating.  Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive extended family and friends one hour prior to services in the chapel.
