Obituary
Christine Crum Chard, age 94, formerly of Fieldale, died on January 16, 2014 in Clemmons, NC. She was born on August 29, 1919 in Franklin County to the late Posey Jackson and Nannie Burnette Crum. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Chard in 1997, her brother, James P. Crum and her sister, Elver Bullard.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fieldale Baptist Church. She was a 1936 graduate of Fieldale High School.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law, Art and Jean Chard of Raleigh, NC, her daughter, Barbara Felts of Clemmons, NC, granddaughter, Ashley and husband Jeff Worrall of Charleston, SC and grandson Bradley Chard of Greenville, NC.
Her graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Richard Harrison officiating the service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fieldale Baptist Church, 175 Church Hill Rd., Fieldale, Va 24089.
