IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Ray
"Chuck" Tomlinson Ii
July 20, 1983 – August 9, 2025
Charles Ray "Chuck" Tomlinson II, age 42, of Ridgeway, left this world for his Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 9th. Born on July 20, 1983, in Martinsville, VA, he was the son of the late Charles Ray "Charlie" Tomlinson and Sandra Sebastian Tomlinson. Chuck was a proud graduate of Magna Vista High School, class of 2001. He continued his education at Patrick Henry Community College and later at Liberty University. A devoted member of Mercy Crossing Church, he found strength and community in his faith. Chuck's first love was the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had a servant's heart and loved to give. His father and mother owned and operated Tomlinson Funeral Home & Ambulance Service in Ridgeway VA., and at an early age Chuck, in his three-piece black suit, white pressed shirt, and red tie would be found standing beside his father and mother, greeting visitors as they entered the funeral home during visitations or funerals. Although Chuck never had the desire to enter the funeral profession, he pursued ministering and spreading the good news of God's Grace and Forgiveness of sin and a strong desire to see souls surrender to the Lord.
In addition to his beloved father, Charlie, Chuck was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward Ray, and Mae Hylton Tomlinson, maternal grandparents, Earlie Dilma, and Ruby Rose Sebastian, as well as several aunts and uncles.
In addition to his loving mother, Sandra of the home, he is survived by his sisters: Sandra Lynn (Glenn) Bridgett of Upper Marlboro, MD, Jennifer Renea (Eddie) Jones of Midlothian, VA, and Katherine Hope Gray of Bassett, VA., numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom he loved deeply. Chuck will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
