Charles Robert "Bobby" Smith, Jr. age 72, passed away at his home in Martinsville on July 13, 2014. He was born May 16, 1942 in Richlands, VA to the late Charles Robert, Sr. and Janie Jewel Smith McDaniel. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his son Charles Robert "Charlie" Smith III, and his brother Roger Smith.

Bobby attended Drewry Mason High School, and was a well known employee at Rumley's Restaurant for many years.

Bobby's survivors are his wife of 54 years, Shirley Stovall Smith of the home, one daughter, Kathy Duncan of Martinsville, two sisters, Linda Sizemore of Brosville, and Carolyn Bowman of Ridgeway, three grand children, Chastity Eaton of Eden, two grandsons, Charles Robert Smith IV of Eden, and William C. Fuller of Washington, DC three great grand daughters, Hannah Cooper, Kayli Priest, and Scarlett Eaton all of Eden.

The visitation will be Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel. Funeral and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079 Spruce St. Martinsville, VA 24112.
