Catherine Ward Spencer, age 76 of Collinsville, died on January 15, 2015 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center, Martinsville. She was born in Hollywood, Maryland on June 4, 1938 to the late Christina Ward.

She was of the Baptist faith and had worked for Fieldcrest Mills and Bassett Mirror before retiring.

She is survived by her sons, William Spencer and Bruce Spencer, her daughters, Brenda Holley and Becky Spencer, two brothers, John Ward and Jimmy Ward both of Little Rock, Arkansas, a sister, Mary Frances Mitchell of Charlotte, NC, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with interment following in the Roselawn Burial Park. Family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn.
