Carol Emerita Castillo Akers, 93, of Martinsville, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, June 4, 2025.  Carol was born February 20, 1932, to the late Roberto Kant and Martina Castillo. Carol was retired from working the Textile Industries and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both of her husbands, James C. Hundley who passed in 2010, and William W. Akers who preceded her in 2018, and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Hundley.

Surviving are one son, Jimmy Richard Hundley, four daughters, Ruby H. Jones (Freddie), Robin H. Vaughn (Roger), Rhonda H. Jennings (James), and Renee H. Laprade,  13 grandchildren, 19, great-grandchildren, and two Great-great Grandchildren and Carol's fur baby, Dollie.

A Celebration of Carol's life will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 9, 2025, in Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Shupe officiating, interment will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services beginning at 12:00 Noon.
