Carl Vincent Bishop, Sr., 96, of Patrick Springs, passed Sunday May 26, 2025. He was born June 18, 1928, to the late Bud and Lillie Flippen Bishop. Carl served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force; he worked for more then 40 years with Rakes Drywall and later retired from Bassett Industries where he worked in Security and attended Sanville Assembly of God.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Carter Bishop, two stepsons, Ophus Hall, and Larry Fulcher, one stepdaughter, Regina Fulcher, four brothers; John, Jim, Turner, and Bob Bishop, five sisters; Mary Pike, Bertha George, Beatrice Norman, Lowry Ester and Mable Ivonetti.

Surviving are his son and Daughter-in-law, Carl V. "Butch" Jr., and wife, Barbara F. Bishop, one stepdaughter, Mary Ann Pritt, two grandchildren, Angela Espinoza, and Jennifer Murphy, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon June 5, 2025, in Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Thomasson officiating, along with full military honors provided by the Martinsville-Henry County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services beginning at 11:00 A.M.
