Bonita Rickman"Bonnie" Smith age 69 of 146 Miles Road Collinsville, passed away on Monday Jan. 4, 2016 at her home. She was born December 7, 1946 in Botetourt County VA to the late William Thomas and Helen Priscilla Hiner Rickman. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband John L. Smith, and three brothers, Thomas, Jeffrey, and Kenny Rickman, and her sister, Clara Moseley.

She was of the Baptist faith, was a homemaker, and had worked for Pannill Knitting, Bassett Walker, and Ashmore.

She is survived by one daughter, Helen L. Smith of the home, two sons, Thomas Allen Welch of Montvale, VA, and Jeffrey Wade Smith of Bassett, three brothers, Larry Rickman of Chalfont, PA, Donald Rickman of Salem, VA, Timothy Rickman of Arcadia, VA, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Saturday Jan. 9, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Dr. J. D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 146 Miles Road, Collinsville.
