Bobby Gray Hicks age 75, of Supply, NC, and formerly of Henry County, died Friday June 21 in Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, Bolivia, NC. He was born July 30, 1937 in Forsythe County, NC to the late Dwight W. and Ruby Welburn Hicks. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother Lawrence "Buddy" Hicks.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, and formerly owned and operated Hicks Carpets in Martinsville for over 25 years. He attended Gospel Center Baptist Church in Supply, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patricia Davis Hicks of the home in Supply, NC, one son, Randy Hicks of Winston-Salem, NC, two daughters, Eve Hicks Oldham of Ridgeway, Bobby Gay Sims of Figsboro, step daughter, Stacey Marie Watkins of Martinsville, one sister Marilyn Wells of Greenville, SC, six grandchildren, Matthew Oldham and Malorey Oldham both of Axton, Melanie Oldham of Ridgeway, Michelle Sims of Figsboro, Daron Watkins and Austin Watkins both of Martinsville, and his beloved pet, shadow, and best friend, "Miss Molly".

The graveside service will be Tuesday June 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm in Roselawn Burial Park with Pastors Floyd Bennett and Rev. Tim Hunt officiating. Military graveside honors will be by the Martinsville/Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Eve Oldham at 461 Shannon Court, Ridgeway.
