Bobby Lee Hiatt, 82 of Martinsville, passed away on June 17, 2018 at the Sovah Health Center, Martinsville. He was born in Martinsville on January 24, 1936 to the late Edward Lee and Leora Powell Hiatt.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, Glenn Hiatt and Hubert Hiatt and sisters, Mary Mickels and Verlie Eames.

He was of the Baptist faith and had worked at J&J Southeast for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Melva M. Hiatt of the home, his son, Darryl Lee Hiatt and his very good friend, Sharon, of Bassett, his daughter and her husband, Sharon Lynn and Tracy Harris of Bassett, brothers, Ernest Hiatt of Martinsville, Jack Hiatt of Illinois, sister, Alice Saunders of Maryland, three grandchildren, Hillary (Corey) Ashe, Kaylee (Devan) Lovelace and Brandon Morris and one great grandchild, Laken Ashe. And his special pet companion,"Khloe".

The graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park where interment will follow with Billy Hiatt officiating the service.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be made to www.roselawnchapelfuneralhome.com .
