Billy Ray Ashworth, 74, of Axton transition this world on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born in January 1951, to the late William E., and Winnie B. Ashworth. After graduation, Billy joined the US Air Force, where he retired after twenty years of services with the rank of TSGT E.6.  Billy was of the Methodist faith and was a proud member of the American Legion.

Billy leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers and sisters-in-law: Jimmy D. "Don" and Carolyn Ashworth, and Randy E. and Yolanda Ashworth, and two sisters and a brother-in-law; Virgie A. Taylor, and Linda A. and Dexter Bray, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with full military honors provided by the Martinsville-Henry County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard during services.  Interment will be private at the Wilson Family Cemetery in Axton.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to services, beginning at 12:00 Noon.
