Bettie Gibbs Vaughn ("Granny"), age 84, of Fieldale, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

She was the beloved mother of Timothy and Donnie Vaughn of Fieldale, Tammy Vaughn Gathings (Richard) of Venus, Texas, and Larry Vaughn (Billie) of Maidens, Virginia; and a cherished grandmother and great grandmother to many.  Also to cherish her memory are brothers Tommy Gibbs (Ruth) of Bassett, Virginia, Ned Gibbs of Horsepasture, Virginia, and Anton Gibbs (Daisy) of Pulaski, Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Callie and Latt Gibbs, husband, Donald Vaughn, daughters, Bonnie and Sherry Vaughn, brother, Mark Gibbs and sister, Sarah Gibbs.

Bettie will be most remembered for her steadfast love and devotion to family, love of Fieldale, her dry sense of humor, and her fine Southern cooking skills (especially her pinto beans, coleslaw, corn bread, and coconut cake).

Burial will be private.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of your choice.
