Bettie Jean Brookshire Kretschman age 78 of Rivermont Heights died Wednesday Nov. 13, 2013 at her home. She was born Dec. 29, 1934 in Welch, WV to the late Zachary Brookshire and the late Maggie Arrington Brookshire Hood. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a daughter Rose Marie Kretschman.

She had been disabled for many years and attended Wilson St. Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by one son, Max John Kretschman of the home, two daughters, Susan Scearce of Welch, WV, and Robin D. Phipps of Richlands, VA, one brother Bob Brookshire of Portsmouth, RI, and 5 grandchildren.

The memorial service will be Monday Nov. 18, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Travis Cassell officiating.
