Bertha Marie Woods Campbell age 81formerly of 57 Log Cabin Road, Bassett, died Sunday Dec. 16, 2012 at Round the Clock Care in Rocky Mount, VA. She was born Nov. 30, 1931 in Lawsonville, NC to the late Sammy and Ruby Woods Lawson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, John Campbell, and one sister, Margaret Holt.

She was a member of Collinsville Church of God, and had retired from the Cutting Department at Bassett-Walker Knitting with over 33 years of service.

She is survived by one daughter Donna Patrick of Martinsville, two grandchildren, two brothers, Charlie Lawson of Lawsonville, and Rufus Lawson of Stuart, six sisters, Mary Overby of SC, Alice Hooker and Linda Hughes of Stuart, Helen and Carlene Hylton of Woolwine, and Nina Hylton of Collinsville.

The funeral service will be Tuesday Dec. 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Tom Duff and Gary Hollandsworth officiating. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM in the Roselawn Chapel on Monday Nov. 17, 2012, and at other times at the home on 57 Log Cabin Lane, Bassett.
