Berdie Meadows Goodnow age 74 of Martinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday Feb. 15, 2014 in Roanoke VA at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Union, WV on November 22, 1939 to the late Mark S. and Vera Edith Willis Meadows. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Pat Goodnow in 1996, three sisters, Louise Raines, Irene Janney, and Helen Whittaker, and three brothers, Arnold, Harold, and Richard Meadows.

She worked at Tultex for 18 years, worked with her husband Pat as owner operator of Good Old Boys Flea Market, and later worked at Blue Ridge Rehab for 16 years. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by one son, Robert W. Goodnow of St. Mary's, GA, two daughters, Teresa Kendall of Axton, and Patti Armstrong of Martinsville, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Tuesday Feb. 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Joe Nunley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday Feb. 17, 2014 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 1141 Sylvan Ave. Martinsville. Interment will follow the service in Roselawn Burial Park.
