Ballard Maston Bollings, age 75, of 410 St. Johns Circle, Martinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He was born in Franklin County to the late William Maston Bollings and Sarah Robertson Bollings on August 17, 1940. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Grady, Basil, Nathaniel and Wilbur Bollings and a sister, Christine Kellam.
He was a member of Axton Baptist Church where he was a member of Carpenters for Christ and had been an equipment installer with Sprint for over 35 years. He was a graduate of Franklin Co. High School. He was also on the Church Bowling League and Senior Bowling League.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda Bollings of the home, a son and his wife, Charles (Carolyn) Bollings of Rocky Mount, daughter, Lisa Altice of Glade Hill, two step-daughters and their husbands, Kathy (John) Marshall of Danville and Dyan (Sergio,Sr.) Pacheco of Bassett, two sisters, Mabel Barbour and Margaret Todd both of Martinsville, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Lundy officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Ryan Bollings, Nick Bollings, Gary Altice, Sergio Pacheco, Sr., Sergio Pacheco, Jr., Kelvin Gravely, John Marshall, Jason Myers, and Patrick Dalton. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn, and at other times at the home.
