Audrey Nelson Vaughn, age 83, of Collinsville, passed away on March 16, 2016 at the Blue Rehab Center, Martinsville. She was born in Henry County to the late Robert and Nora Choate Nelson on May 21, 1932. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Vaughn, three brothers and two sisters.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a graduate of Fieldale High School. She was head operator with Sprint for over 35 years before retiring.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce Vaughn and David (Amy) Vaughn both of Collinsville, a sister, Faith Pearson of Arkansas and two grandchildren, Hunter Vaughn and Elisabeth Vaughn.

Her graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Phillip Woods officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Monday for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.
