Arthur Milbourne Venn, age 91, formerly of Reed Creek Drive, Bassett, died on November 15, 2011 at his grandson's residence in Roanoke. He was born in Brocton, NY on December 03, 1919 to the late Harry and Adie West Venn. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by his wife, Geraldine Hall Venn in 2006, his daughter, Pamela Venn Jolly, and a brother, Albert Venn.
He was of the Methodist faith and had retired from self-employment of home repairs services. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran.
He is survived by his son-in-law, Robert Jolly of Roanoke, two sisters, Alberta Blakely and Sadie Steele both of New York, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. T.G. Ayers officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one half hour before the service on Friday.
