Arnold Lee Jenkins, age 76 of 303 Morgan Ford Road, Ridgeway, VA died on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, NC. He was born on November 01, 1933 in West Virginia to the late Rush Gilbert and Rebecca Jane Bishop Jenkins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one daughter, Brenda Lester two grandchildren, Carmen Andrews and Charlie Brown Andrews, and one brother, Jesse Jenkins.
He was a member of Gospel Road Baptist Church in Eden, and was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Faye Jenkins of the home, one son, Troy Dean Jenkins of Morehead City, NC, two daughters, Debra Ann Sammons and Kathy Lynn Jenkins both of Ridgeway, one brother, Charlie Jenkins of Axton, three sisters, Myrtle Desmon of Martinsville, Betty Bowman of South Boston and Mary Long of Fieldale, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with the Pastor Sidney Turner officiating the service. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Mausoleum. The family received friends on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn and at other times at the home on 303 Morgan Ford Road.
