Arnold A. Adkins, Sr., age 88, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on May 30, 2026.Born on March 16, 1938, in Martinsville, Virginia, Arnold was the son of the late John and Eula Adkins. A lifelong resident of Martinsville, he will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Arnold enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and, most of all, spending time with those he loved. In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Erma "Chucky" Adkins; his son, Arnold A. Adkins, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Ann Adkins; brothers, Lionel Adkins and Orelle Adkins; and sister, Miralda Jane. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Pingry; his sons, Nathan Adkins and Keith Adkins (Debbie Price); his grandsons, Justin (Jennifer), Zeb (Amber), Adam(Kayla), and Ridge (Brooke); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Harper, Hayden, Presley, Levi, Carson, Mason, McKinley, and Sawyer. Arnold will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 5, 2026, with Director Kelly Ratcliff officiating, interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services beginning at 12:00 Noon.
