Obituary

Ara Vager "A.V." Frazier age 83 of 559 Sunnycrest Dr., Martinsville died Tuesday June 19, 2012 at his home. He was born April 15, 1929 in Carroll County to the late John Wesley and Mattie Belle Winesett Frazier. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Virginia Frazier in 2007, three brothers, Lawrence, Johnson and James Frazier, and seven sisters, Lina Stone, Lilly Grimes, Callie Tickle, Huldy Hanks, Lovella Crowder, Cassie Jennings, and Loamy York.
He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith, and retired from the City of Martinsville with 30 years service.
He is survived by two sons, Eddie Frazier of Martinsville, and Allen "Thumper" Frazier of the home, two daughters, Lois Sue Sayers of Ridgeway, and Carolyn Lankford of Martinsville, nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday June 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Brad Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 20, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 559 Sunnycrest Dr., Martinsville.
