Annie Mae Turner Lusk, age 93, of Martinsville, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Blue Ridge Rehab, Martinsville. She was born on April 13, 1923 in Bassett to the late Noel and Martha Mason Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Emmett Lusk in 1990, two brothers, Frank Turner and George Turner, and two sisters, Eva Barbour and Mary Lusk.
She was a loving, caring, and dedicated Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She always put everyone's needs before her own. She was a Founding and Charter Member of Spring Street Baptist Church for over 50 years. She had worked as a seamstress for Jobbers Pants and Standard Garments for over 20 years.
She is survived by her son, Charles ( Deloma) M. Lusk of Collinsville, three daughters, Nancy (Everett) Farmer of Winston-Salem, Alice (Doug) Aaron of Martinsville, and Carolyn (Steve) Isley of Martinsville, a sister, Virginia Barber of Hickory, NC, nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Nick McCorquodale officiating the service . Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. in chapel of Roselawn before the service on Friday.
