Obituary
Alton Eugene Nunn, age 77, of Bassett, died on September 28, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Bassett on October 27, 1936 to the late Aaron and Annie Shepherd Nunn. He was also preceded in death by his brother Billy Ray Nunn.
He was of the Baptist faith and was the owner operator for over 32 years of Nunn's Guns in Bassett. He had graduated from Bassett High School, Class of 1957 and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dolores Nunn of the home, his son, Michael (Emily) Nunn of Bassett, two daughters, Lisa Diane Nunn of the home and Amy (David) N. Vaughn of Collinsville, a sister, Phyllis Stevenson of Check, and four grandchildren, Jon Domina, Hunter Vaughn, Elisabeth Vaughn and Madison Nunn.
His graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 01, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Henry Memorial Park with Rev. Raymond Moorefield and Rev. Jim Hewitt officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn.
