Alice Marie Dickerson Davis age 81 of Martinsville, passed away on Friday May 11, 2018 at Martinsville Health and Rehab. She was born May 25, 1936 in Floyd County, VA to the late Ivan Lawrence and Ada Sumpter Dickerson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by five brothers, R.G., Lewis, Dickie, Earl and Jackson Dickerson.

Alice was of the Baptist faith, graduated from Floyd County H. S., Class of 1954, and she worked at DuPont for 32 years in the Tech. Lab.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carl Edward Davis of the home, one son Scott Lawrence Davis and wife Joyce of Ridgeway, two daughters Wanda D. Mills and husband David of Martinsville, and Cheryl Wall of Reidsville, NC, one sister, Frances Jean Dickerson of Christiansburg, VA, seven grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Mills, Kayla (David) Stone, Cortney (Hunter) Stump, Colby Wall, Steven Davis, Stacey Davis, and Dustin Sheppard, and six great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Cameron Wilds officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday May 14, 2018 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 295 Woodhaven Road, Martinsville.
